Helen Atkins is an artist from Albuquerque, New Mexico. She received her BA in Studio Arts from UNM in 2016. She currently leads several projects in her community with various organizations. Atkins is a 2018 recipient of the inaugural Women in Creativity “Shine” Awards, honoring creative women and their work in community. She was recently appointed to the Albuquerque Museum Board of Trustees. She works in various mediums and with diverse communities, focusing on socially aware art practices. While working on collaborative projects, she is also building a body of work that explores female experience and identity.
Jordyn Bernicke is an artist from Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is graduating in December 2018 with her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with a minor in Arts Management at the University of New Mexico. She currently works as a teaching artist with the Harwood Art Center and other organizations. She has lead a number of different workshops around the city involving community experience and collaborative art practices.
Her artistic goal is to continue to engage in therapy and self exploration with her community. In her spare time she spends time with her beloved dog Maeby.
Monique Rivera is a ceramic artist born and raised in Santa Fe, NM. She strives to find the unique balance between fragility and strength in the striking and functional porcelain pieces she creates. She references nature and life, combining glazes to create unique patterns and colors.
